Today was a great day. We all went to Ella’s t-ball game at 9:00 this morning. Ella is doing so well. She really has a lot of fun. After the game, we came home, walked Towby and then we all took a walk to the Ferry Building for lunch. Lunch was great and so was being outside for a long time. The weather was great despite a little obnoxious wind. Mommy too Ella to taekwondo and I stayed her and hung out with Nikki B. Tonight, we went to Pier 39 to have dinner at one of my favorite crab places…the crab house. Ella bungee jumped before dinner, and then we went to the carousel and arcade after dinner. Kate joined us and it was a wonderful night. I’m happy that judgement day didn’t happen today. I wanted to see what 43 would feel like and I am going to get to know tomorrow. Good night. Love you all.
On our way to the game.

So much fun at t-ball.

Great Saturday
Sunday, May 22nd, 2011Another fun filled Friday!
Saturday, May 21st, 2011Ella started her day with a CDS fashion show. The school has come out with a new “clothing line” of t-shirts and sweat shirts and some of the kids did a little fashion show during assembly. Ella was one of the kids who modeled a t-shirt. She was so cute and sweet and said that she had a lot of fun. Check out the movie below. After the assembly, Ella’s class, the leaping lizards had a culminating event in the classroom. The kids showed us their portfolios on the bee project that they have been working on since the beginning of the new year. Ella had some fantastic work in her portfolio. I will take some pictures and post the portfolio tomorrow. Alicia made a great video of the past 4 months of bee study with the whole class and then the kids took us around the classroom and showed us what they have learned about. Their bee vocabularies and their understanding about bees is amazing. Great job Alicia! Great job leaping lizrards! Great job Ella. After our sweet morning in the classroom, I went to the airport to pick up Nikki B. It was so great to see her and hang out. She’ll be here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and have some fun. Thank you for coming Nikki B. We had a delicious lunch at Delfina Pizza and then picked up Sunny and Ella. We took Ella to t-ball practice and then had dinner at San Jalisco. After dinner we came home and watched UP. After Ella went to sleep, the 3 of us finished watching an amazing Giants game.

What a swimmer!
Friday, May 20th, 2011I asked permission to take a few movies during Ella’s swimming lesson today and the lifeguard was kind and let me. Check out how great Ella is getting at freestyle. She’s becoming an amazing swimmer.
Here’s a shot that I took of Ella and Towby the other day. What a big kid!
Beautiful day – beautiful ballet
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011Ella told me she had a great day at school today. That is always a great thing to hear. Ella is also getting ready for a ballet recital at the Disney Museum in June. They rehearsed again a little bit this week. Ella will be leading the line of girls. I made a movie of ballet, taekwondo and a little wiffle ball that you can se at the end. Here are a few shots from ballet.

The last 2 shots are of Ella acting like a sad ballerina…a direction from teacher Laura.
Fun at the ballpark
Monday, May 16th, 2011We woke up this morning and Ella asked to do a video chat with grandma and papa. Luckily they were home and we had a great video chat. Love you guys! It was great “seeing” you. Today our friend Mary was coming over to watch the Giants/Cubs game on TV but the game was postponed due to bad weather in Chicago. We all decided to take a walk over to the ballpark, go down the Coca Cola slide and have a little game of wiffle ball. We had Ella hit while we were pitching to her rather than having the ball on the tee. She was terrific! Tonight we went to family swim. I guess a lot of families had the same idea because the pool was so crowded. Ella had a lot of fun.

Last night Naomi painted Ella’s fingernails and this morning, Ella and I painted her toenails.
Ella never gets bored of the trolley at the the ballpark.

So much fun going down the slide!

Ella is becoming a baseball superstar.
Another super busy Saturday
Sunday, May 15th, 2011We all started out the day on the T-Ball field at 9:00 am! Ella and her team did a great job. After T-ball we hung out at home and relaxed a little bit. I took Ella to Taekwondo in the afternoon. She’s getting better and better each week. Tonight we had Phyllis, Hannah, Naomi, Charlie and Phyllis’ mom – grandma Alice over for dinner. Alice is 92 years old and just an amazing person. We had a delicious brisket dinner and did a little Wii dancing. Ella also read us a few books. She’s really becoming a great reader. I’m exhausted so here are some great pics from today.
The second before the ball was hit. It was pretty cold out in Golden Gate Park this morning.

If you look closely, you can see the ball that Ella hit – right in front of coach Brooke’s face.

The end of the week
Saturday, May 14th, 2011It feels like this week has been a long one. We have another milestone for Ella. On Thursday afternoon, I picked up Ella’s new booster seat. Ella is no longer in a 5 point harness carseat. She is so proud of her new seat. She loves it. She has been telling everyone who will listen.
Ella in her new red and black car seat.
I took Ella to her swimming lesson on Thursday. She’s doing incredibly well. I snuck this picture at the end of her lesson when she took off her bathing cap and goggles. Great back floating!
On Thursday night we had dinner with Amy and Susie. Here is Amy teaching Ella how to play diner dash. Ella caught on really quickly. She loves learning. Maybe Ella can teach Amy how to enjoy reading books!
Ella and her buddy Casi at assembly today. Ella was too busy waving at her friends to pose for the picture.
Monkey bars again! It’s almost time to move on to the tall monkey bars.

Friends
Thursday, May 12th, 2011Ella loves Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. On Tuesdays Brickelle comes over and hangs out for the afternoon and on Wednesdays Stella and Juliet come over and hang out in the afternoon. Wednesday nights usually turn into Kim/Arena/Schwartz dinners which we all love.

Really cute ballet class
Tuesday, May 10th, 2011Ella’s class is having a recital at the Disney Museum in the beginning of June and they started to rehearse for it today. Laura the teacher had Ella head up the line. Ella did a great job. Check out the video.

Fun at ballet.
Ella made this stick bug in Tree Frog Treks today. It’s really cute in real life.
Costume changes
Monday, May 9th, 2011Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms reading this…happy mother’s day again mom. Love you! Today Ella went with the Kim/Arena family to Stella’s dance recital and Sunny and I went to the Giants game. Ella had a fantastic time and we had a fantastic time! The Giants swept the Rockies. Ella loved watching Stella dance so much and she loved all the different costumes that the kids were wearing at the recital. When Ella came home, Helen came with her and asked if Ella could play for a little while – the girls were all going to get into some dance clothes and dance over at their house. Ella went upstairs and was up there for about 5 minutes. She came down with an outfit that she invented – she was ready for some serious modern dance. She was so cute and loved her outfit. Tonight we had dinner with Phyllis, Michael, Hannah and Naomi. It was a really great dinner at Out The Door. Phyllis took pictures so maybe she’ll share some with me to post.

Ella’s costume change. The things on her legs are old school leg warmers. We got them for her a long time ago and she remembered!
