And the Giants won!!!!!!! What a great time we had. Ella was a little pissed that we weren’t taking her but it gets too late and crowded and I think the idea of going is better than actually going. The day game was great when we took her, but night games don’t work so well. The Giants played some great baseball. Before we left, we were playing around with Ella. Here she is…
Ella at home playing with her new yoyo.
Beautiful Ella.
Ella made this beautiful design on our window. Notice the patterns.
View from our window about an hour before gametime.
Ella wishing us good luck before we leave for the game. GO Giants.
The field – the view.
I love you – I love baseball.
And the Giants WIN!
So happy!

First night of the world series!
Thursday, October 28th, 2010Soccer, taekwondo, Giants WIN!, sleepover with Brickelle
Sunday, October 17th, 2010What a fun filled day. We all started the day going to Golden Gate Park for Ella’s Black Widow soccer game. The girls are getting much better. There is still a little under 5 year old drama, hurt feelings and sensitivity but for the most part, they did a great job. Ella scored her very own first goal which she thought was da bomb. After the game, we drove straight to taekwondo where Ella had the most incredible focus. Hard to believe that she can stay that focused for 90 minutes. After that class, Ella and I came home and Sunny was getting ready to watch the ballgame over here with some friends. A little while after that, Brickelle, Brooklyn, Brooke and Akilah came over. Ella and Brickelle are having a sleepover tonight. All of the adults hung out and watched the game and then the Bixlers left. After that the girls had dinner and then changed into their costumes and watched a lot of episodes of Hannah Montana, After all that fun, THE GIANTS WON! INCREDIBLE! What a great night all around. I’m very tired so no more words.
Happy at socer but a little cold.
Trying to get in there.
Getting into it.
Run Ella run!
Thinking about something.
Having fun with the girls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AJ
Saturday, October 16th, 2010AJ – we love you. Hope you have a beautiful day. Can’t wait to see you – hopefully soon. Ella made a very sweet very funny video for you for your birthday. Hope you enjoy it. Love you so much!
Ella and her buddy Casi this morning.
Ella reading at Borders tonight. Borders is closing for good tomorrow. It’s the end of an era. Ella learned to walk in this store and listened to many many story times! Bye Borders. Thanks for hanging out for a while.
Never give up
Monday, October 11th, 2010Today was mostly spent either getting ready for the Giants game or watching the Giants game. We had a really fun video chat in the early afternoon with grandma, papa, AJ and Milo. Ella loved seeing everyone (so did we) but she really loved it when Milo kept walking in and out of the room where the computer is. She kept going, “Oh – there he is again! Hi Milo” and then he would leave and she would say, “Bye Milo – grandma – I know he is going to come back” and then he would come back and she would say, “there he is!”. It was a really sweet game. The Giants game was intense – I think we all stopped breathing for a little while but in the end, they came through and won!!!! We had a few friends over and Ella didn’t really want to watch the game so we let her hang out in our room and watch movies. She watched the Hannah Montana movies and then some other shows. Stella and Juliet came over to deliver a gift to Ella – bath salts that they put together at Pier 39. It was a beautiful rainbow of bath salts. Ella really wanted them to stay but they had to go to see their grandparents. We are going to the SF Zoo with them tomorrow since there is no school. After the game, we decided to take Ella to Pier 39 so she could do some bungee jumping and then we had dinner at the Crab House. It was an exhausting day (thanks to the Giants). I hope we win tomorrow so we can advance to the next round and relax for a few days. Ron took this the other night when Ella spent Friday night with them and we were at the game. They didn’t have a sleepover, but Ella fell asleep over there and Juliet slept in the bed with her. Ella loved it! What a sweet shot.
Ella was doing some Giants cheers before the game started.
Big smile after bungee jumping.

Ella ate an entire order of clams and did it all by herself. She even took the “feet” off the clams herself.
This is Ella on a “phone call” with Brickelle. Today, she started pretending that she was getting phone calls. So far, she has spoken to Stella, Juliet and Brickelle.
The Hannah wig
Thursday, October 7th, 2010For some reason, Ella won’t wear the Hannah Montana wig when Sunny and I are around. She loves wearing it with friends. I snuck a picture.
Ella, Bella and Brickelle and a good morning hug.
This is the picture that I snuck.
Borders across the street is closing any day now. Today I went there to get some Magic Tree House books for Ella and I saw this book for only $3.00. She almost had a heart attack when we gave it to her.
Swimming
Wednesday, October 6th, 2010Ella has a new teacher for swimming again. They had their second lesson today. He looks like a great teacher. After the first lesson he wrote: I had a great first lesson with Ella (I hope she enjoyed the lesson as well). She is very advanced for a child her age. I greatly look forward to working with Ella. I think Ella responds really well to him too. Let’s hope that he sticks around for a while. Ella had a great day at school too. She’s just really loving life.

These were taken this morning in the classroom. Ella was checking out these magnets that were in the science work area. Ella took the last pic of her magnet pattern. Here is a movie of Ella swimming this afternoon.
I don’t know how she does it!
Tuesday, October 5th, 2010I am in awe of Ella and her Mondays. First of all, Ella fell asleep pretty late last night – probably all the excitement from the Giants and stuff. It was a little difficult getting her up this morning but once she was out of bed and had her flamingo slippers on, she was ready to rock and roll. When I picked her up, she seemed like she had a great day at school and then a great time at tree frog trecks. She came out with a toilet paper roll colored in and a string around it and told me that she made an elephant’s trunk. She also told me that she touched a snake named Jake. After all that, I took her to ballet where she did a fantastic job. I made a video from her class. She is doing different things in the 5 -6 year old class…great to watch.
Ella and Brickelle and their good morning hug.
Posing outside of ballet.
Warming up in ballet.
The Giants did it!
Monday, October 4th, 2010We spent most of the day in the house playing with Ella and then watching the Giants game. Ella was really into it – of course she was playing around with everything she could find, but she was into the game. When the Giants finally won, she was jumping up and down and yelling and screaming. She was thoroughly entertained by Sunny’s “passion” for the game and it was all great. The neighborhood was full of happiness and great energy. We start the post season next week…1st game on Thursday against Atlanta. Later in the evening, we were on our way out to have dinner at the Public House and we bumped into the Kim/Arena clan in the hallway. The kids played and ran around. We are so happy they are staying.

Fun in the hallway! I have no idea what Ella and Stella were writing, but they were very serious about it.
Fooling around at the Public House.
I just love these trees!
Ella and I drew this Giants angler fish this morning. It’s going to stay here until we’re done.
Let’s Go Giants
Thursday, September 30th, 2010Ella has been having a great week…so have the Giants. I haven’t taken any pictures in the past few days, but we have been busy at the ballpark. Tonight we went with some friends of ours from Ella’s school who have amazing season tickets. We had a great time with our friends and a fantastic time watching the Giants make their way to a possible post season! We really need this. More baseball=a very happy Sunny. Ella watched Bolt. In the movie Bolt, the voice of Penny, Bolt’s owner is Miley Cyrus. This excited Ella to no end. I am tired. Goodnight.
Happiness
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010There’s really not much more to say. Ella is just a happy kid.
