Life With Ella

Ella had a great day at school…however, she had 2 accidents.  We’re not sure what’s going on, but we’re going to have a family meeting tomorrow night to talk about it.  After school, Ella had her special play date with Stella and Juliet.  She came back from their house in this adorable Tinkerbell costume.  Mommy gave Ella  bath and then we were getting ready to meet Amy at Acme.  Ella told mommy that she wanted to wear Mickey Mouse to dinner and she did!  We had a fun dinner – by the end, Ella was getting really tired – until the ice cream came!

On Sunday, I went to IKEA and picked up 2 dressers for Ella’s room.  I also got her this little red night table which she loves.  She told me that she wanted to eat snacks on it.  The big girl bed is going pretty well.  I’m happy that we have those ottomans because I think she would flip right out of the bed.

We just wanted to send a huge thanks out to our family and friends both near and far for all of your love and support.  You have helped Sunny grieve with an incredible amount of compassion and ease.  Here are some pictures that I took of Ella a few days ago.  She heard from a mom at school that it may rain so she told me that she wanted to wear her rain coat, boots and use her Elmo umbrella.  Here is Ms. Ella.

Today was a beautiful day. We met Phyllis, Faye and Debi at the Ferry Building. Sunny, Ella and I walked to the Ferry Building and on the way there, Ella said, “Are we going to meet our friends there?” It was very cute. After an afternoon nap for mommy and Ella, mommy gave Ella a bath and then Ella came downstairs and did some singing while I was playing the piano. Sunny caught some of it on video and I put it at the end of this entry. Tonight we had dinner at Los Jarritos with the South Side girls. We all had a blast.

It’s been raining here since Sunday night. It’s not the usual San Francisco rain – it’s crazy rain. Even our Zen garden has huge puddles. I went to the gym today and I had to turn around and take another way because there was some serious flooding. Stella, Juliet, Helen and Ron left for Florida yesterday. I hope you guys are having a great time. Ella misses the girls and with the rain and stuff, we need to make sure that she stays busy. The girls playing together is usually enough, but since they’re gone, we had to make sure that Ella had a fun filled day. In the morning, I took Ella to Recess, then we played at home, then Ella took a nap. When Sunny came home, the 3 of us went to the gym and we went swimming. After swimming, we had dinner at the pub. Tomorrow, we go to one of the schools that we are looking at for pre-school for an open house type thing that the kids go to. We are interested to see if Ella likes the school environment.
