On Wednesday night, Sunny and I went on a date to the baseball game. The Giants were playing the Cubs and a friend gave us some very special tickets. We were literally sitting about 6 feet from the on-deck circle. It was a magical night and the Giants won. Today, Sunny, Ella our friend Mary and I went to a Giants vs. Cubs day game. Again – what an exciting game and the Giants came out as winners. Ella was great during the game and went over to the Coca Cola slide with Sunny.Tonight, the 3 of us had dinner at home and then watched E.T. I don’t know how Ella even learned about this movie, but she has been talking about it for about a month so Sunny got it while we were back east. We had a talk with Ella about the movie and that there was going to be a part where it seemed as if E.T. was dead and that it could be sad but he didn’t really die so the end was happy. We told her that if she wanted to turn it off at any point, we would happily do it. We all watched the movie and checked in with Ella during the movie. She had a lot of questions…mostly “where is E.T.?” “Is that Elliot?” “What are those people doing to E.T.?” “What does examine mean?” and it went on and on. She was so interested in the movie. At the end, E.T. is all better and his ship is waiting for him and he looks at Elliot and says “come” and Elliot is crying and says “stay” and Ella said, “You mean E.T. is going to stay?” and she was so happy. Then E.T. left. All of a sudden, the movie was over and Ella started weeping. It almost didn’t sound real – but we looked at her and she was crying. We asked her what was wrong and she just kept crying. It was about 10:10 so we thought she was tired but she said that she wasn’t. Finally, I said, “Can you please tell us why you are crying? We want to know so that we can help you. Can you spell what is wrong?” She looked at me and made a sign language “L”. Ok – so I went through all these L words and they were all wrong of course. I asked her for another letter… Ella said, “E and another E” so now we had LEE. We were scrambling to figure it out and I said, “Leave – you didn’t want E.T. to leave?” She said, “Yes! Why did he have to leave?” We all had a conversation about #1, it being a movie and #2, that in the movie, E.T. couldn’t survive on earth so he had to go back to his own planet. Nothing was really good enough for Ella but she did stop crying. She put the E.T. box right by her bed. She is a sensitive little creature. It was both beautiful and painful to watch.

Some cool pics that I took from our seats on Wednesday night.
A beautiful night outside of the ballpark.

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010What a beautiful night for a ballgame
Saturday, July 17th, 2010We went to the Giants game tonight…it was an exciting game and the Giants won 1 – 0. During the game, mommy and Ella went on an adventure – Ella decided that she wanted to go on the Coke slide. Ella has been afraid to do it in the past, but tonight, she was so excited to do it. It was a really fun night.
On the way to the ballpark.
Ella super excited to go on the slide.

The slide!
Ella on the jumbotron in the little Giants field.

Ella having a blast playing on the little field.
Ella ate so much junk tonight! We made sure that she started with chicken fingers, but then she had cotton candy, a churro and then kettle corn. Ella was actually fantastic tonight – she made it through the entire game.
Volunteering
Sunday, June 27th, 2010Today was a busy day. We all woke up and eventually made our way over to Becca’s for some brunch. Ella loved playing with the doggies and cat. Tucker and Digby (the dogs) have 1,000 times more energy than Bug and Towby. Ella actually gets to play with Becca’s dogs. After brunch it was time to volunteer. Sunny is on the board of the Giants Community Fund and today was the Junior Giants glove drive. Sunny did it alone for about an hour and 1/2 and then Ella and I joined her. Ella worked hard giving out the Sandoval pins and asking people to donate a glove or money. We didn’t go to the game but watched a lot of it at Blush. We were all very tired by the end of the night. It was a sweet day.
Ella to ok this of us before we went to brunch.
And I took this one of beautiful Ella.
ELla has a lot of orange in her wardrobe – we all do!

Taking a little rest on mommy’s head.
Time for me to start to get people to donate.
It’s so much easier with Ella helping.

Tutu Camp
Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010Ella has been going to tutu camp this week. She seems to be enjoying it. I just drop her off at 9 and pick her up at 2 so it’s not like the usual classes where I can sit and watch if I feel like it. Ella went to the camp without knowing any of the other kids and I think she’s doing great. She has a little recital on Friday which I will be sure to film.
Heading off to Tutu Camp day 1.
Heading off to Tutu school day 2.
Tonight at dinner. Look at those magical eyes.
Oops – Ella fell. She wanted me to take a picture of her elbow so she could see how bad the damage was. Doesn’t look so bad.
We are having a great time but I am posting from my iTouch. Sunny’s laptop had a cup of coffee today and probably shouldn’t have. Tune back in on Tues or Weds.
Sunday, June 13th, 2010Happy birthday mommy/Sunny we love you so much. So happy to be celebrating with you in paradise.

Second to last ballet class
Tuesday, June 1st, 2010Although it was Memorial Day, the Tutu School was still having class and Ella was really excited to go. Sunny had to work today so I took Ella downtown for lunch at Nordstrom (grandma – Ella wanted me to save those chocolate mint things for you) and then we went to ballet. Ella had a different teacher today and there was only one other student. For some reason, Ella was really serious and into the class, not like she’s not into it every week, but today her energy felt different. She did a great job.

Ella our little free spirited ballerina. The video is a little long, but really sweet…
Cousin Clara is here!
Friday, May 7th, 2010Ella was so excited all day about Clara coming. I think she probably talked about it all day at school and it continued on to anyone who would listen up until Sunny and Ella picked up Dan and Clara from the airport. Unfortunately, I have no pictures of Ella and Clara’s reunion because I was out tonight. By the time I got home, everyone was getting ready for bed. Tomorrow Ella will go to school in the morning and then I’ll leave work early and give Ella and Clara some good quality time in the afternoon. Here are a few sweet shots from today.
Ella, Luke and Rosie checking out the silkworms before school started today. Those things are getting huge! I wonder when they are going to go into their cocoons.
Beautiful Ella with another one of Ms. Alicia’s beautiful hairstyles. Maybe Alicia will give me hairstyle lessons over the summer. I’m getting pretty bored with my single and double braids. Ella looks like a sweet flower child here. OK, it’s late…goodnight.
Milestones
Thursday, May 6th, 2010On Monday night, Ella achieved another milestone…she threw up. Ella hasn’t thrown up as a kid – the last time she threw up, she was sleeping in a crib. Ella threw up in the middle of the night. She called for us and didn’t really seemed bothered by it. I said, “What happened Ella?” and she said, “I throwed up”. It was pretty much on everything including her favorite Hippo Ann. Luckily, I found another one online today and she should be coming to our house any day now. Ella had a fever on Tuesday morning so she stayed home from school but she was totally fine on Tuesday night. We went out with the Kim/Arena clan and had pizza to celebrate Juliet’s 4th birthday…another milestone! Ella was back at school on Wednesday and had an amazing swimming lesson – video at the end. Ella was very excited tonight because her cousin Clara is coming tomorrow. It’s going to be a really fun weekend.
