Fun fun fun

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Today I went into Ella’s room to wake her up and she wasn’t there.  I went into the living room/guest room and found Ella and Clara watching TV…it was 7:00 in the morning!  We got her downstairs and ready for school.  Ella went to school until 12:00 and I picked her up and then came back home to pick up Dan and Clara.  The 4 of us went to Mo’s Grill at Yerba Buena and then the kids played in the playground.  They had a lot of fun.  We came back home, relaxed for a little while and then I took Ella to Emmi’s birthday party at Pump It Up.  Ella had a blast for the most part…she did have a few melt downs but they were nothing compared to the fun she was having.  I never really take pictures at Pump It Up because I love to jump and play there too!  After the party, Ella and I met up with Sunny, Dan, Clara, and friends of Dan’s for dinner by Pier 39 at one of favorite places, the Crab House.  After a delicious dinner (Ella was a little cranky because she fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner) the kids went and did a jumping thing.  They all had a blast.  I am happy that it is the weekend.19.jpg Ella and Clara at Mo’s Grill.36.jpg26.jpg44.jpg The girls had a blast on the slides.52.jpg62.jpg Having some fun in the sun hanging.72.jpg82.jpg92.jpg102.jpg The girls rode on the carousel after playing in the park.112.jpg122.jpg132.jpg151.jpg161.jpg171.jpg181.jpg191.jpgThis is the bungee jumping thing on Pier 39.  Ella has never done it before and really wanted to do it last night.  She was super brave and had a lot of fun.  Clara was a daredevil and jumped really high.  She inspired Ella and next time, Ella said she wanted to go super high too!

Cousin Clara is here!

Ella was so excited all day about Clara coming.  I think she probably talked about it all day at school and it continued on to anyone who would listen up until Sunny and Ella picked up Dan and Clara from the airport.  Unfortunately, I have no pictures of Ella and Clara’s reunion because I was out tonight.  By the time I got home, everyone was getting ready for bed.  Tomorrow Ella will go to school in the morning and then I’ll leave work early and give Ella and Clara some good quality time in the afternoon.  Here are a few sweet shots from today.18.jpg Ella, Luke and Rosie checking out the silkworms before school started today.  Those things are getting huge!  I wonder when they are going to go into their cocoons.35.jpg25.jpg Beautiful Ella with another one of Ms. Alicia’s beautiful hairstyles.  Maybe Alicia will give me hairstyle lessons over the summer.  I’m getting pretty bored with my single and double braids.  Ella looks like a sweet flower child here.  OK, it’s late…goodnight.

Milestones

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

On Monday night, Ella achieved another milestone…she threw up.  Ella hasn’t thrown up as a kid – the last time she threw up, she was sleeping in a crib.  Ella threw up in the middle of the night.  She called for us and didn’t really seemed bothered by it.  I said, “What happened Ella?”  and she said, “I throwed up”.  It was pretty much on everything including her favorite Hippo Ann.  Luckily, I found another one online today and she should be coming to our house any day now.  Ella had a fever on Tuesday morning so she stayed home from school but she was totally fine on Tuesday night.  We went out with the Kim/Arena clan and had pizza to celebrate Juliet’s 4th birthday…another milestone!    Ella was back at school on Wednesday and had an amazing swimming lesson – video at the end.  Ella was very excited tonight because her cousin Clara is coming tomorrow.  It’s going to be a really fun weekend.17.jpg24.jpg Ella and the beautiful birthday girl Juliet.43.jpg Ella took this picture of the Kim/Arena family.   Happy Birthday everyone. Here is the swimming video – Ella is making incredible progress

Happy Birthday mom/grandma!  We love you very much.  We hope you have a beautiful day.  Here is a Happy Birthday message that Ella wrote for you.42.jpgThe words and letters are all over the place but I’m sure you get it.  Check out the end for your Happy Birthday song.15.jpgWe went to the game today.  We had a blast – the Giants didn’t.22.jpg The highlight of Ella’s day was seeing Lou Seal.   Ella got up out of her seat and began running to the section where Lou Seal was hanging out.  It was great to see Ella’s determination to see her favorite Giant.32.jpg Our little nerd leaving the ballpark. It was kid’s batting helmet day today.

Fun filled day

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Today was a beautiful day and we spent all of it outside.  Ella’s school had it’s annual Country Fair today.  Sunny and I volunteered to work a few shifts at different games and Ella just played hard for the entire event.  This is the third year that we have gone and the first year that we knew that Ella would be safe and happy without us right next to her the whole time.  After the Country Fair, Ella had a T-ball game.  All of the kids from the team were at the Country Fair so the 3:00 game had a bunch of exhausted kids (and parents), but they still had a lot of fun.  Ella actually fielded a ball today and once she made the play she yelled, “Mommy, mama, I got a ball!  I got a ball!”  It was really cute.  Here are some pictures from today’s events.14.jpg Ella and one of her friends Layla hanging out in the school garden.21.jpg Mommy and Ella waiting in line for face painting.31.jpg41.jpg51.jpg Pretty incredible rainbow butterfly!61.jpg Ella and her 7th grade buddy Casi.71.jpg Ella and her friend Emmi chatting.81.jpg Ella and her friend Clark climbing the structure.91.jpg I think at this point, Ella was spinning around in circles.101.jpg Mommy helped with coaching today.111.jpg121.jpg131.jpg Batter up!141.jpgElla just having a lot of fun.

The end of a long week

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Today while Ella was at school, Sunny and I were at Pacific Primary (Stella and Juliet’s school) as their special friends.  We had a sweet morning with the girls and were honored to be their special friends.  Here are a few pictures from today.2.jpg A frame that Stella and I made in its early stages.3.jpg Sunny and Juliet during a musical performance by Stella’s class.4.jpg Me and Stella at the end of the assembly.1.jpg Here is a shot of Ella this morning in her classroom.  The class has been “raising” some silk worms over the past few months.  They started out really small and now look at them – they are huge!  Soon they will build their cocoons and turn into moths.  Ella is totally into these worms.5.jpg6.jpg Another beautiful hairstyle by Ms. Alicia.7.jpg Ella enjoying a salted caramel ice cream cone at Bi-Rite after school today.8.jpg Ella and her buddy Maya at the playground before t-ball practice.  CHeck out the video to see Ella getting better at the monkey bars.9.jpg For some reason, Ella thinks you need to squat down in order to field a ball.10.jpg Batting practice.11.jpg Happiness.12.jpg13.jpg We met up with one of Ella’s old classmates and her parents at Los Jarritos for dinner.  Here are Ella and Maya at the jukebox.  Maya told me that she has been picking Ella up since pre-school.  Very cute.  A whole bunch of other CDS families showed up after t-ball practice.  It was lots of fun.We came home from dinner and Ella ran into the house, changed into her pajamas and went over to Stella and Juliet’s to do Friday night movie night.  They watched Madeline again and Ella was really happy to be with her buddies, Helen, Ron and KJ!Here is the video…
