Swinging is happiness

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Ella loves to go on the swings. Today was a beautiful day, so we went to a park a few blocks away from our place and she played around on the swings. Here are some sweet pictures from our trip to the park.

Happy Birthday fly

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

We went out to dinner with some friends tonight, and throughout the evening Ella asked us if she could walk around. I guess the high chair isn’t exactly the most comfortable place. I took her outside during one of our walks and she was looking in a store window singing “happy birthday”. She spotted a fly in the window and then sang “happy birthday fly”. When she finished singing she wanted to see the fly again. At the end of the video she is saying, “Again fly…again fly”.

Music Together

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

Ella has been taking a Music Together class for the past 13 months. She really enjoys the class and has been making such great progress. She can now tap out rhythms on her legs, dance to the music and play all different types of percussion instruments. At home, she sings along to the songs and does all of the movements from the class. One of the moms in the class just had another baby and Ella loves him. In part of this video, Ella is dancing for the baby.

The octopus and the starfish

Sunny stays home with Ella on Mondays and from what I heard, they had a great day together. They started out on a walk to go see the sea lions, but Ella fell asleep somewhere near the Ferry Building, so Sunny did some shopping and relaxing. When Ella woke up, they walked around near the Ferry Building and made their way back to our neighborhood. When they got to the park behind the ballpark, they struck gold. Some of Ella’s favorite friends were there including Stella, Juliet, Jay, Cora and a whole bunch of others. Here are some pictures that Sunny took of Ella on their walk to the park. Ella is a really sensitive kid and loves to give kisses to every one and every thing. Here is Ella kissing a starfishstarfish.JPGAnd here she is studying the octopusoctopus.JPGHuggy mommy…thanks for a beautiful day!huggymommy.JPG

Bathtub singing, blowing bubbles and a little dance

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Here is a video of Ella in the bathtub and then playing around on a little chair she has in her room.  The clips of the songs are “this is the way we wave goodbye”, “happy birthday” and “the wheels on the bus”.

Take me out to the ballgame!

We had such a great day today. We went to the Giant’s game with Helen, Ron, Stella and Juliet. The Giants lost but we didn’t care. Thanks to Ron, we have some great family pictures. After the game, Sunny and Ella ran around the bases. Ella was a little more interested in running in the grass, but they had a lot of fun.

Here we are with a very special Giant – Lou Seal. He was really sweet.

It was a pretty hot day and we were putting water and the girl’s heads. Ella was a little sleepy so she put her head on my shoulder for a beautiful moment.

Here are Ella and mommy (with Stella, Helen and Juliet behind them) getting ready to run to first base. Ella has such a look of determination on her face.

Here are the girls back in our building, hanging out on the steps, enjoying the lollipops that the Giants usher gave them after they ran the bases.

Believe it or not, we all went swimming and then out to dinner after the game. I was just too tired to take any more pictures!

A beautiful Saturday

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

We all had a wonderful day today. Sunny and Ella took off in the early afternoon to go shopping and walking around. I got more help from Jesse on how to do this blog. Sunny, Ella and I spent some time at the park behind the ballpark and had a lot of fun. Then we went to Ellen’s house for a bar-b-que…Ellen’s family is in town from Florida. Ella was a little shy, but really loves Ellen’s niece Melissa. Here is a picture of them hanging out with each other.

After the bar-b-que, we came home and hooked up with Helen, Ron, Stella and Juliet. They blew up this big “Bouncy House” in their living room and the girls were jumping and playing around with the balls. They have such a blast together. After bouncing around, Ella found a princess veil in the closet and sort of fell in love with it. Here is a picture of Ella in the veil. She became very upset when we told her that Stella wanted a turn. Ella is learning how to share. This is sooooooo important.

By tomorrow she’ll be back in her Giant’s uniform running the bases…stay tuned!

Hanging out with Stella and Juliet

Saturday, July 14th, 2007

I’m sure many of you have seen the pictures over the last 20 months that included Ella’s friends (and our next door neighbors) Stella and Juliet. We are so lucky to have Helen, Ron, Stella and Juliet living next door. We have had some great times and can’t wait for more. The girls really love each other. It’s so sweet to watch them interact.ellastella.JPGellajuliet.JPG

Ella at the All-Star Game

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Ella has gone to many baseball games, but this was her first All-Star game. It was also our first All-Star game. We had a blast. Here are some pictures we took from that night.
